THE BOBBY BONES SHOW CHRISTMAS PARTY
THE FRAY
Isaac Slade had to laugh. Here he was, finishing up a piano part for the last song to be recorded for the Fray's debut album, How to Save a Life. And co- producer Aaron Johnson is asking him how the second record is coming?
"I laughed at him. He wasn't laughing," Slade says. "I said, 'You've gotta be kidding, right?' He said, 'No, you've got to start writing for it.'"
Slade and his cohorts - guitarist and vocalist Joe King, drummer Ben Wysocki and guitarist Dave Welsh - got the hint.
"One of the first songs came six months after that," Slade says. "So it's been on our mind for a long time."
And what a time it's been for the Fray: The Denver-based group played to sold-out crowds around the world in support of 2005's How to Save a Life (Epic/Sony), which went on to sell more than 3 million copies in the U.S. Melodically charged hits "Cable Car (Over My Head)" and the title track worked their way onto the radio and into the hearts of fans - not to mention onto the soundtrack of TV phenom "Grey's Anatomy." Throw in a trio of Grammy nominations, and you've got the kind of out-of-the-gate explosion that any young artist would envy.
OWL CITY
Owl City is the electronic brainchild of Adam Young, who launched the project in 2007 while living at his parents' home in Owatonna, MN. Troubled by insomnia, Young began spending his evenings in the household basement, where a computer and several instruments provided a welcome diversion from his sleeping patterns. He eventually combined those diversions into a blend of electronica and emo-pop, using little more than his computer and various keyboards to record the material. Songs were uploaded to MySpace upon completion, and Young began attracting a surprising amount of attention on the networking site. Of particular note was "Hello Seattle," a fabricated ode to the Emerald City whose viral popularity earned Young a record contract with Universal Republic. Ocean Eyes, his debut release for the label, arrived in 2009, coinciding with Owl City's first national tour. ~ Andrew Leahey, All Music Guide
JASON DERULO
The path to perfection is a humble road, but one that longevity will pave”. IYAZ
On his upcoming debut album, IYAZ makes lilting reggae-infused R&B melodies inspired by island shorties, wireless romance, and the anguish of unrequited love. The 22-year-old singer, songwriter, and rapper cranks out undeniably pop-friendly tunes, like his first single "Replay."

"IYAZ's songwriting style is timeless and universal," says J.R. Rotem, the in-demand songwriter and producer crafted most of the tracks on IYAZ's (whose real name is Keidran Jones) album, which will be released by Reprise Records. "IYAZ is a storyteller who paints visual scenarios that tug at the listener's heart-strings," says Rotem, who also discovered pop sensation Sean Kingston. In fact, it was Kingston who first stumbled across IYAZ's MySpace page in May 2008, liked what he heard, and recommended him to Rotem, who has also worked with 50 Cent, Britney Spears, and Rick Ross.
